Afro Hair Futurity

Series Hairpieces and podcasts comprising interviews of an artist, designer, filmmaker, anthropologists and trichologist reflecting on their knowledge, personal and professional experiences of Afro Hair. This work aims to be a starting point to rethink Afro hair in a post-colonial context and as a performance of black futurity.

The Afro Hair Futurity was commissioned by MU Hybrid Space and was part of The Self Design Academy show and featured during the Dutch Design Week 2020.
